Fantasia was taken to hospital in North Carolina after the excess use of aspirin and sleeping pills. Her condition is now stable.The incident occurred a day after Fantasia sued by Paula Cook, who accuse Fantasia of having an affair with her husband, Antwaun Cook.
Fantasia manager, Brian Dickens, says that Fantasia depressed because of the lawsuit pressure and the media spotlight.
"Last night Fantasia was taken to the hospital. She consumed too much aspirin to calm her mind. Fortunately, the situation is not life-threatening. She was very tired because a lot of problems" said Dickens.
In another statement, Dickens admitted that Fantasia does have a relationship with Cook that has lasted for 11 months. But that relationship occurred because Cook said that he was unhappy with his marriage, and his heart only for Fantasia. Cook confessed to Fantasia that she has split with his wife in the summer of 2009.
Fantasia won American Idol in 2004, and now will release her third album, "Back to Me". Fantasia should be doing the promo album this week, but all the schedules were canceled because her condition is not possible. Fantasia also cancel an exclusive interview with the Associated Press, which is scheduled on Tuesday.
