Even so, the ex-striker of England is still focused to prepare for the first match against his former club, Newcastle United, tonight. Whether he will have chance to play or not, he's not worried at all.
"I feel comfortable," Owen said to Tribalfootball on Monday.
"I know what my position is in the squad, and I'm okay with it. I'm not hoping to be played all the time, but I'll always be ready whenever needed," Owen said.

About his future in the Red Devils, Owen reveals that he still want to stay with United until 2010-2011 period, and planning about moving to another club after that.
"I want to play in some of the match this season, and play in every match in other place," he said.
The 30-years old striker then giving his praise for Wayne Rooney who according to Owen, is different from the common striker. Rooney played very natural.
"He love to score, but never give disadvantage to the team. He wants to do it alone, but he know how to prioritize the team. There, I admire him. He's there for the team, and he really enjoy to play together," Owen said.
