President Barack Obama insisted that the American Muslims has right to build a mosque at Ground Zero, two blocks from the place where 3,000 people perished when a hijacked passenger planes struck the World Trade Center towers on September 11, 2001.

Obama says that Muslims have the right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country.

"This includes the right to build places of worship and community centers on personal property in Manhattan, in accordance with applicable local laws" Obama said. "This is America and we have a commitment to religious freedom."

Mosque development at Ground Zero has become a controversy in New York and the nation. Party Republicans including Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin, openly declared that they opposed the plan.

Barack ObamaRep. Peter King, R-N.Y., said that President Obama has made a mistake. "Construction of Mosque at ground zero shows that Muslims are not sensitive and have no concern for fellow Americans. Although the American Muslim community has a right to build mosques, but they're abusing that right by needlessly offending so many people who have suffered so much."

Families of the September 11 tragedy victims see prospect of Mosque near the former World Trade Center is an insult to those who were killed by Islamic terrorists in an attack in 2001.

This mosque has been approved by the board of city planning, but will face a lawsuit. New York Conservative Party plans to campaign through television ads to put pressure on the New York City utility to stop the project.

Apart from that, we can see this subject has developed into much more complex maze. Freedom, Right, Obama, and the Republicans are trapped inside it. Do you think so?
