A copy of Batman no.1 comic is in auction at Dallas-based Heritage Auction Galleries. Rare comic that was printed 70 years ago had bids up to $35,000 and keeps rising until the auction is completed on Thursday.

The owner of the comic printed in 1940 is Mike Wheat from Fairbanks. The story about how he could get the comic is quite interesting.

Batman Comics no.1 was found by Ron Jaeger, a local businessman. Jaeger bought an old dresser at a garage sale in 1970, then keep it storage for several years. When Jaeger decided to re-examine the dresser, he found one of the drawers stuck.

It turned out that the drawer was stuck with some old comics, including Batman no. 1, Superman no. 17, and some of the Red Ryder Western comics.

In 1974, Jaeger sell the comics to Wheat that has been known as a comic book collector for $300.
