CBS reporter Lara Logan was reported to be hospitalized after suffering brutal assault while covering the situation in Egypt following resignation of president Mubarak.CBS released a statement explaining the incident on Friday, February 11 in Egypt. Logan and her team was covering a 60-minutes story in Tahrir Square when they suddenly realized being surrounded by a mob of more than 200 people.
Situation goes bad as Logan got separated from her crew. She was brutally beaten and assaulted. Logan was saved by a group of women and Egyptian soldiers. She returned to her hotel with the other CBS team and fly home to the United States in the morning.
Lara Logan is currently recovering in a hospital.
CBS news refused for further comment at this time. Logan's family and Correspondent currently request for a privacy.
"CBS Evening News" on Tuesday reported that Logan is currently recovering well in the hospital.
