10 years old vogue modelImages of 10-years-old Vogue model Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau have caused a storm of controversy. The girl is considered too young to pose in adult make up and fashion.

The shocking images shows Thylane appears on Tom Ford-edited January issue of French Vogue where she pose in heavy make-up and stilletto heels. Bloggers over the internet agree that she is styled way too maturely.

Thylane is the daughter of former French International soccer player Patrick Blondeau and Veronika Loubry, an actress and television presenter. It is clear that Thylane has strong connections within the entertainment industry.

10 years old vogue modelThylane stepped into the modeling world after a recent trend of younger models such as Elle Fanning (13) and Hailee Steinfeld (14). Steinfeld was nominated for Oscar True Grit this year, which ended in a contract with Miu Miu soon after the nomination. Thylane has already been seen as the next Brigite Bardot - who appeared in ELLE at the age of 15.

Psychologist warned about the premature exposure of a child to the adult world, stating that the child could suffer heavy psychological damage. A child entering adult world too early could lose the ability to survive in it.

"This picture is the antithesis of what childhood in our society should be; a child being exposed to a world she is not yet equipped to deal with solely to serve the needs of the adults around her," said Dr Emma Gray, consultant clinical psychologist and clinical director of The British CBT & Counselling Service.

Despite all the concern from parents and adults, younger fans and admirers of Thylane seems to have different views on the images. Her Facebook page has over 700 fans, and people are praising her recent Vogue appearance.

One of her fans write: "Hey I just wanted to say that Thylane is absolutely stunning!"

However, a spokesperson for the UK Mother's Union has expressed their grave concern regarding Blondeau's modelling agency, which seems unable to determine if represents a child or an adult.

"We are hoping that these images would not pass the advertising and magazine standards within the UK".
